Need opinions on Gizmo's colors and this Male.

This is really along the same lines as my other thread (Blue Diamond, etc.).

Just like any owner of a juvenile male panther, I've stared for hours at my little guy just waiting for that first color to come out, then the next, and the next......

Knowing his father and grandfather (Vinyarion -sire and Glorfindel - grandsire), I've tried to compare his colors to theirs to see any similarities. Unfortunately I don't know the name of his dam. anyway for the last few months, I've been looking at them trying to find similar colors to my little Gizmo. I came to the conclusion that he is not developing his colors in the same way. Both chams were (at some time) owned by the Kammers of Kammerflage Kreations (great people and excellent breeders if you're looking for chams).

For the most part, Gizmo's background colors are either a light almost white powder blue or a greyish white baby blue. His bars vary from a red/brown to a bold deep burgandy. The corners of his lips showing the telltale Ambanja color of yellow.

Anyway, searching the internet, I finally found a male that Gizmo has been emulating now for months. The website idenitified this as being a "Turkis or Blue Diamond" Ambanja. Here are the pictures.

Gizmo's pictures were taken when he was approximately 3.5 months old. His powder and baby blues along with his burgandy bars are much more brilliant now. Will post new ones as soon as I can.

What do you think? Is he on the road to becoming this "Blue Diamond/Turkis color variation? Liddy told me he'd have awesome colors.... I love the "Blue Diamond/Ambato" colors... It wouldn't mind a bit if Gizmo's colors went in that direction....

I would love to see new pictures. Some chameleons develop their colors earlier than others. It is a genetic thing. Be patient, the colors will come. Judging by the lineage, he will be very nice. Post the new pics when you can.

being that hes is so young id wait a while before i try and figure out what he will turn out to be.in my experience with ambanjas they change so drastically in color that at that little guys age its almost imposible to determine what he would be.ive had one be a blue bar all his life till around 1/5 yrs old then change completely to a red bar!!!(how you figure)
he is a nice looking little male and will turn out to be smokin im sure but its too young to pinpoint exactly what he would be as an adult.
good luck with him and keep us posted with updated pics!

My daughter took those pics of Gizmo back in August. She's got a smokin camera.

My bro has one not as good but can take close-ups. He comes over all the time. I'll try to get him to bring his camera. Hopefully sometime during this week I can get it done.

ace little guy! i did a thread in general photography last week with a few pics of my 7-8 month old blue diamond if you want something to compare him with :D

Thanks lewboo2. You've got a beautiful boy there. I'm not real sure but what I think accounts for a "Blue Diamond" or "Ambato" coloration is a light background color ranging from pure white to shades of turquoise, baby blue, or powder blue with the bars showing reds, purples, burgandys. The eye turrets are yellow, as well as the yellow lips associated with Ambanjas.

Gizmo doesn't sport the yellow eye turrets, but he definately has that powder blue with burgandy barring.

I'm going to see if I can get my old camera to work... be back with pics (hopefully)
