Need dubia help

Lol, that poor postman... Probably the weirdest thing he ever delivered...

I'm a little concerned only because I haven't seen any one eating yet. Hello! You guys are cockroaches! Youre suppose to eat whatever I fling in there! Not to mention I give the gourmet stuff.

Next move: I'm trying the rice thing as mentioned in this thread earlier. I swear.... most humans try to kill you little guys, here I am encouraging your population. Where's the appreciation? lol..:p

I've only seen three or four roaches actually eating... I usually throw stuff in while it's still light out though... Maybe that's why? Do you sneak up on them at night?

I only check on them to throw in some new egg crate and paper towl rolls for hiding and ckimbing (i'm trying to encourage them with a nice home:D). Based on what people are saying, I'm thinking I should throw in more grainy type stuff. Is oatmeal safe/good?

i might be getting a dubia colony of about 350.....but not sure what to feed them and how to keep them.....

A bucket with a lid. small holes in the lid for vetilation, or cut outs covered with metal screen.

Egg crates, bark etc stacked vertically

Essentially the same food you feed crickets.
Mine eat: romaine, dandelion, carrot, seaweed, squash, apple, orange, bee pollen, nuts, seeds, sometimes a bit of cooked pasta, or beans....
most care sheets will tell you to feed them dog food, cat food and fish food. This is fine for roaches, but animal proteie/fat is not so great for chameleons. Your roaches dont actually need to eat meat. But during the first month while growing the colony and not feeding any off to the chameleons, its okay to give them a little. Care sheets often suggest water gell too - but if you offer a diet of primarily wet foods - fruit and veg - added water is unnecessary.
