Need answers ASAP. Possible pregnant female

Hello again guys, i have a 6 month old veiled and am wondering if it is possible that she is pregnant? She displays dark spots with yellow and is constantly going to the bottom of her cage before returning to the top. Im putting a picture in as best as i could get of her stomach, does it look like it could have eggs?

Another quick question, i use normal play sand that is moist enough for her to dig a hole in correct? Going to pick whatever i need up now, so speedy responses is much obliged

Well i've got a bin full of moist sand that can sustain a dug hole without collapsing. My next question is should i put her in it outside of the cage or can i leave the bin at the bottom of her cage and just let her naturally go in herself.

Put the laying bin at the bottom of her cage and make sure to give her lots of privacy. If you interrupt he and she does not continue to lay than she can become egg bound.

Regards,
Nate

Thanks for all the help guys, i hope she is okay and passes through this successfully. I could see what seemed to be a tiny bulge near her stomach so i figured better safe then sorry and she had kind of gravid colors going on and kept going to the bottom of the cage and looking everywhere for something so i figured it was time. She's all covered up and the bins in place, now its just time to wait and see if she is actually or if it was just me being over worried

Well day one, completely covered cage in sheets, and she made no attempt to go to the sand. She ate 6 medium sized crickets. I'm starting to think I overreacted. She just displayed dark black dots and yellow lines and kept walking to the bottom of her branch and stared at the bottom of the cage whilst displaying those dark colors

I don't think you overreacted at all! It may take some time for your girl to do what she has to do. As with all things chameleon, (and especially veiled chameleon ) you need to be patient and this could take days! Give her the privacy she needs and (from what I could tell in the picture) you should have success soon! Some keep a laying bin in the enclosure full time! It is great that you have room for this in her own cage to minimize the stress, but any change can take some adjusting. Good luck with her and keep us posted! ;)

How should I go about misting her? Just like normal or reduce the mistings? Her urate has a yellow hue so I dont want her to get dehydrated while going through this

As long as the humidity levels are good I would keep about the same schedule. The only concern I would have is not getting the sand too wet. If you are using an automated misting system, maybe shorten the duration if this becomes a problem.

Checked in on day 2 in the morning, she has pooped in the laying bin. Does that indicate anything or no? I cleaned it out and re covered the cage, any guidance would be much obliged

Unfortunate event occured. Sand was soaked due to dripper leaking all over, so the sand is in the oven drying off, in the mean time i took some pictures of her better then the orignals, so this might give you guys a better idea. Thanks, kenneth

I don't keep females, but she looks quite plump to me. She could very well be gravid, but I would wait for a member more experienced in females.

Well day 3 and still no attempts have been made at the sand, no test holes or anything she just looks at it with dark black spots and yellow lines

Im also worried because i have seen pictures of pregnant veiled's and you can see a lump over there hind leg but in that picture i posted above you can see little bumps on her belly, which i am curious to know if those are eggs or something that could be causing her distress. Any help is much appreciated, especially those who have had a female veiled go through this
