My veiled is digging

Right now she dug a tunnel and left it alone now she is pacing back and forth up and down and returning to the dig site only to peek in and walk away again. I hope she doesn't become egg bound i mean she doesn't really look big but all the same i would not want to lose her over something as easy to fix as this.

Jannb pretty much covered it all. I wish you the best and i hope she lays with no problems. When Clea laid her fertile clutch i came home to her covered in dirt and she just finished laying and climbed up on the branch above her. I was not there. I was at school but i to do what Jann does when i am there when my chameleon is laying, Once i see she covered them..out they go. Good luck.

I have read they can dig test holes. The most important thing is for you to give her complete privacy or they can abandon the hole and become egg bound if they see you looking.

What if she makes multiple holes?is that a possibility and also how will i know she is egg bound? I mean is there some symptoms if so i would like to know so i can get ahold of a good vet before hand.

Test holes/multiple holes is fine as long as she (soon) settles on one and digs it until she is satisfied with it. If she stops digging and returns to the trees and doesn't dig again then you can start to worry and get her to the vets for a shot of oxytocin.

Do not let her see you watching her when she is digging!!!

Is there a possibility of her laying in multiple holes? Last night i came home from work and i took a peek while she was asleep and she had a really deep tunnel and this morning when i woke up i peeked from behind the enclosure where she can't see me and the hole was filled and it looked like she made another close to it. It's weird cause she doesn't look big but just full like she had eaten alot.

I guess anything is possible but with my experience with my veileds and my daughters panthers, they are in one hole.

I also haven't seen her eat or drink but then again its probably cause i have the enclosure covered. I'm just paranoid i guess:rolleyes:

AH!
Im so paraniod right now. I think pepper might want to lay eggs or something! But she's only 4-5 months OLD!
and SMALL!
the eggs would be the size of sesame seeds!!!lol
Shes been on the bottom of her cage for the last couple days but she's been eating fine.
I just got her like 4 days ago maybe, do you think it could be shes sitting at the bottom because she not use to her viv yet?
