my panther trying to eat his fake plant?

No one really knows why they chew and bite on things. I would remove the fake plant, as if he swallows a piece of it, he can become very ill.

You might want to consider putting in a real plant. It will help with humidity and he'll be able to eat it without concern.

i finnally got a bunch of ficus plants for my cages and redid the interior and what does my pandora do climb up on the large size vine and tries chomping at it!! i was like what the heck thats why i put the ficus in there cause she use to bite on the plastic plants i had in her old cage!!! panthers they do some of the the funniest things i swear!!!

usually it is a sign of dehydration. bump up your mistings and add a dripper.

you think? My chameleon tries every so often to chew on a hard plastic tail of a fake toucan I have hanging out on my tiki bar. I somehow cannot link that to dehydration! lol!!!!
