I purchased a male veiled chameleon about 3 weeks ago. The pet store figured he was about 7 months old when I purchased. I owned bearded dragons before and also have a Nelson’s milksnake. All three have such different care!! I have read and read and have done so much research and still feel lost lol. Marble seems healthy for the most part. He was dehydrated and had a bit of difficulty completing his shed but I think we have resolved this. He still has a tiny tiny speck of skin on the bridge of his nose by his eye that does not want to come off. I have been able to lightly brush his skin and some flakes off but not all. I’m struggling to keep humidity constant. Temps seem ok. I did notice him yesterday basking with his mouth open so I raised his light ( never seemed to be an issue before but has not done it today yet) I’m using fake plants as I am horrible with live plants. I have a reptifogger which I run periodically and a reptirain that I set to spray 15 seconds every three hours( or enclosure gets drenched)i also mist 3-5 times a day. I covered 2.5 sides of his 16x16x30 screened enclosure which seems to help the humidity but still concerned about leaving enough ventilation. He eats well. I dust crickets with calcium skip a day of dusting, dust with vitamins, skip a day and then calcium again. He has not shown interest in vegetation yet but working on it. I know he needs a larger enclosure soon. Not sure if I’m missing anything! Just want my new baby to be healthy
