My male Sambava Gilbert

Here are a few pics of my panther chameleon Gilbert. he is approx a year old this months. Was wondering if he is fully grown now? he weighs 120g. Also he never fires up even when my male veiled fires p at him, does anyone know why?

I have a male that rarely fires up, I think because he is so calm and friendly and comfortable. He will definitely fire up for the ladies though

No, I would say he has more growing to do and will put on some more weight. My sambava is 18 months old and the last time I weighed him he was about 250 grams. Not saying that yours needs to be that weight or will ever be. Gilbert looks great though!!! Nice looking guy! As far as firing up, I cannot answer that question but I know I tried to get mine to fire up in the mirror and he just sat there!

Im guessing he will hit 160g+ and his colors get even better with each shed!
You should consider finding him a pure female. The more pure locals out there will result in less taken from the wild! Im sure at some point they will no longer be xported

My Ambilobe fires up real nice when I put him in the shower but you have to make sure the water is luke warm as to not hurt him and I dont do it very often because it really stresses him out

I would say perlite. Great looking Sambava Bradely.

yep thats is some perlite in the hibiscus just to retain a little water. I am going to find him a female in the future but most of the sambavas in the counrty are realted to him so it may be a hard find. i dont have no space atm as I have just bought a lined day gecko male (phelsuma lineata) which I will be also looking for a female for.
