Iv had my Cham for about 1.5 weeks now and I really hate having to mist every morning before work lol. I have an awesome drain system so My next project is a Misting system. I really like the Mistking Adjustable Rain Nozzle instead of misting from within cage so I went ahead and purchased all the pieces I needed to make my own System. For all the items in the photo plus a bucket and lid I payed $75. I saved about $55. I could of just purchased the MistKing starter system but Wanted to save a few bucks since Iv put well over $1000 Into my Cham and setup already. Here are the parts I got. The Rain Nozzle is just an example of what Im trying to accomplish, I didnt purchase it. Was cheaper to buy the pieces because of shipping costs would have came out to $30 just for that piece alone. Once I have it all set up Ill let you guys know how it runs. Ordered these parts today.

Well Today I got to try out my DIY misting system and I must say I am very impressed and glad I did this.. I have plenty of space on top of cage, I went to the dollar store and purchased a smaller container for my little dripper and used the drip nozzle from it. My new mister only mists the spot I want it to. My basking spot stays dry and warm. My feeder cup stays dry as well. Love it! I made the rain nozzle like the mistkings but smaller to fit my top cage , purchased everything online, for a total of $74.39.. Love it. Its on a timer. Dont have to rush home now. Or wake him up early before work..I gotta admit it, for a first time cham owner i def out did myself. Awesome setup, drain system and misting system. Im happy!!

Wow looks great! I might be doing this myself and I'll come to you with any questions I may have along the way. :)

It looks great! Does the $75 include the timer?
Yes! Includes everything.. Including the bucket. The materials are in attached photo above but I can list them and price with links to them. Ill do that in a few. Off to go watch "IT" thanks guys!

P.,

Looking good! I'm happy with my Mist-king, but if it goes out, I'll give it a shot. Are there "special fittings" for the inlet and outlet of the pump?

No, I purchased the fittings 3/8" to 1/4" because inlet/outlet are 3/8" od but upon putting it together I realized it was 1/4" ID , didnt need any fittings.so I just stuck the 1/4" tubing into it really good. Everything went flawlessly.

I still haven't set mine up yet I'm waiting till I got all my cages where I want them to be... hoping that one pump can mist 6 cages tho lol

Its working perfectly! No issues! The climist nozzle sucked! Clogged within a day so I purchased a Mistking Nozzle and its working beautifully! It mists 5 times a day. Only mists the area I want to get leaving his basking and cup feeder dry. I love it! My cham climbs to to the top for drops that stay dangling from the top, he also licks the leaves and sides of cage that have drops. Hangs under the mist to clean his eyes. Hes well hydrated! Only thing I had to adjust was adding a Tee and Ball Valve to control the flow to get the right flow/pressure to the Nozzle. (Photo attached) Works awesome! Not one issue! Pump works great, No leaks, Mistking Nozzle is high quality and misting a nice fine mist. Couldnt be happier guys!

Wow I'm def going to try this. Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but why did you have to attach the valve to a new tube and add the t joint? Couldn't you just add it to the existing tube? Also are you using tap water? I've heard that the minerals will clog it up eventually if you do.

Because the pump is to strong for just 1 nozzle. With the Tee/Valve I have a line going back into the bucket/reservoir and with the valve I can control the pressure/flow that will be going through the lines. Works like a charm!
