My Chameleon vomited after shower....

We have had our chameleon about a year and a half and have had very little trouble. Today we noticed that she was in the bottom of her habitat and her eyes were sunken in. She was more of a yellow with orange rather than green. I jumped online and concluded that she may be dehydrated. We mist her often but we have never showered her. I tried showering her for about ten min on a silk plant in the shower, not direct, of course. A little while after putting her back in her habitat she vomited, like spit bubbles. Now she has climbed to the bottom of her habitat again and it looks like her tongue may be out...Im very worried and terrified to mist or anything really. Any suggestions?

She could have aspirated the water. That happens when you spray water down the chameleons throat without them being ready to drink it. It can get in their lungs which is not good at all.
