My chameleon Eliot opens his mouth and sticks his toung out partly every time he sees his spray bottle and i just gently mist it in his mouth and he likes drinking it.

That's not weird at all! He's simply learned where water comes from. My melleri eventually did this too. When I appeared with the hand sprayer they started licking their lips, reflex swallowing and getting their tongues ready. Be glad he's a fast learner!

all i did was spray his mouth lightly for a while and he stared to learn it was water and now he opens his mouth when he is out and when hes thirsty
