Yay! today is a great day! i saw my cham (Trunks) just poo and he looked relieved! yesterday he had some rep-cal herptivite for the first time:( but he looks good and im happy.

I thought this was another "Do chams poo?" type of thread..

But, umm, congrats!

last week I noticed that my female ambilobe was not pooping. I soaked her in warm water for about 15 minutes then put her back...nothing for about 3 more days...she didn't look happy :(

I tried the warm water again and about 5 minutes after I put her back...Kapow! I was never so happy to see a poop before!

She was really impacted...it was really big and the top of the urate was a bit hard.

Needless to say water has been increased as well as humidity.

wow! that must have been pretty darn nerve racking! but im glad things turned out well for your cham!:D always good to see a good poop from your cham!:p

HAHAHA 'kapow!'

My Melleri Lenny and Henry haven't pooped in a week or two..... but their food intake is minimal so I am not TOO worried. I did however do the soaking in warm water for Lenny once and he let loose soon after.... funny how that works:D

Warm Water. . .

:DI guess it's like putting someone's hand in a bucket of warm water to make wet themselves. . .lol

LOL! I remember in summer camp kids would talk about this.... but never tried it....:p:D

Just a general tip... The tub I use for my Melleri is kinda large so they can't climb out... Since this is a bad idea if you were to walk away and leave the water on.... I have holes in the tub so that water can't fill the tub more than an inch or so. It also helps with keeping the water warm. I use the shower head (shower wand with different settings) to 'mist' the cham with warm water. As water leaves the tub it is replaced with fresh warm water... the temp never really drops making the cham cold.

Lily didn't poop for 10 days once! When she finally did drop, it was huge! She's pooping every day again at the moment, and I must say it's far easier to clean up one little bit each morning than 10 days worth in one go! Ewww! :D

Yes, I'm another poop and sunrise/sunset obsessed owner, lol!

The last time I was this obsessed with poop was 26 years ago when I brought home my newborn daughter from the hospital. You never saw two people more excited than when she took that first poop :p

Now here I am again doing the same thing with Gizmo.
