So I got this little guy a few weeks ago from a local pet store that closed down. He was in pretty bad shape when i got him, one of his eyes is gone and the skin has grown over it, it also looks like he broke his tail at some point, he is also underweight. Im new to chameleons and didnt relize how much effort and time they take..... but I think thats what i like about them, either way I fell in love with him right away. Last week he started to not look so good, he wouldnt open his eye and therefore wouldnt eat, so i force fed him some super worms for a couple days, I also put him in the shower and gave him more mistings. It seemed to work a little (he really enjoyes the shower!) but he wasnt getting better at a fast enough rate and i got nervous so i took him to a vet a couple nights ago, the vet suggested I feed him watered down Science diet A/D add some vitamin supplement and feed it to him with a small syringe. Well its been a couple days and he has made a huge turnaround he moves around alot more and looks much better. I took this picture last night, he is looking even better today! There's a tough road ahead for Yoshi, and its tough to have your first chameleon not 100% healthy! (Its tough enough when they are!!!) Hope this works out and thanks for giving him a fighting chance! I hate to see businesses going out of business, but maybe this time its for the best. Good luck!

Its for the best that this certain place closed, she couldnt take care of her animals anymore. Its for sure gonna be a rough road but i think he will pull through!

Sounds as if you did he right thing and the road ahead will be a little harder than most, but he appears to be coming on.
