moving the boys outside

So, its fall and the temps have dropped. We are getting ready to clear military housing and need to start cleaning the house. Ringo and Freckles are in the spare room and I was thinking of clearing out the room and cleaning it. I can put the boys in our dining room but I'm trying to save last month Electric bill. So are the temps of a high 80 and a low of 60s be ok for the boys?

Absolutely, provided that you give them plenty of shade during the day. Will they be exposed to direct sunlight? If so, they'll need plenty of shade and a constant water source. I'm in Houston during the weekends and leave my boys under the canopy all day and night. Lover 90's to lower 70's... :)

How long will they be outside for? I heard as long as the nights don't drop below 50ºF you're good to go.

As for the high 80's, i think that should be fine for them. Sounds like a natural environment that we try to replicate with our equipment anyways. Just be sure to mist, mist, and MIST! lol. Also provide a dripper and some shade for the little guys.

And by the way i have a buddy who was stationed in El Paso, he's currently deployed in Afghanistan. Can't wait til he comes back, been a long 7 months, 2 more to go...

God Bless!

=) they will be outside til the day that we move out with out be Nov 2nd. Only problem I see is where I'll have to put them its mostly shade. Then we move to Houston on Nov. 5th and my husbands aunt who said that we can stay there sid that they have to stay outside til we find a place =( Not too happy about that!

Well I hope he comes home safe! The unit my husband is in is planning for a deployment in Jan.

Well I know I've said before that I was going to take the reptiles outside for some sun but never did. Now that we have 3 days left here in our house til we move I was thinking about them out from like noon to 4 when temperatures are at the highest which is 80. I have that temporary cage I made for Ringo and I have Starr's temporary cage and I was thinking about putting them in front where I can watch them. Problem is I don't really have a cage for Freckles... I have a traveler that's open with a plastic top and that's about it...
