Moving rooms

The weather is dropping rapidly in georgia, and the room that matcha was in does not keep heat well. it will be dropping into the 20s this week.. so i moved matchas entire cage to a different room, in a closet so it’s still quiet like the other room.. she’s already showing signs of stress and not wanting to be in the cage. i covered the sides so she can’t see out anything but the front. is it just a waiting game of her getting used to the surroundings again?

she’s willingly climbing out onto my hand which she normally doesn’t do, and also climbing alllll over the enclosure.. normally she sticks to one area.

Why into a closet? This is going to hold moisture and you are going to risk having mold growth.

How cold does your house actually get?

You do not need quiet... they can not hear. You need lower activity in the room.

let me rephrase, a quieter, lower activity room same as the other. not necessarily a closet? an opening in the wall

also that room would probably get down into the 30-40s, it doesn’t have heat.
