Mold on plant soil

I started to notice that a white colored mold started growing in the soil inside the pots of the plants, has anyone had this happen or know what it is ? I don't know if it's safe or not but I try to take it out when I see it as much as possible.

Get some springtails, I have them in every plant in my house.

Spring tails will help . also agitate the top soil so it can breath more and dry out in the mean time .

What kind of water are using? Are you sure its mold?

I use Kirkland purified water from Costco I use this to water my plants and also hydrate my chameleons, this is the water they drink when I mist they're enclosures

I'm not to sure I will try to get a picture, I will be cleaning out my enclosure today so when I do I will take the picture if I spot any.

If its mold might need to assess drainage, but the bottled water could have high mineral content and deposit in form if salts.

So I believe there is additives in that water which could be leaving scale. If you use straight distilled water you won't have that issue. If its mold you need better drainage or circulation
