yeah what I meant was if the ambient temp isn't hot enough the humity wont rise...well it will but it will also drop the temp by a lot.
You seem to be very concerned about the ambient temperature. As long as your veiled can get to a basking spot that is around 90 to 95F, provided your cage is tall enough, it will have a natural temperature gradient. I've kept veileds in a basement where the ambient winter temps were in the mid 50's. They didn't care because they could get warm under the basking bulbs during the day.
