Mist king Timer question

hello, just installed the m ist king. nice quality! but, when i put in on "auto" it stays running, and i thought this would be to run the cycled times i program. its 4 30 right now, and its set up to come on at 6 and its running. am i missing something? UPDATE............i pushed the on,off,auto button one more time,and it seems to be where it needs to be. so, now i wait until 6 and see if it comes on with my 'test" light, then if it checks out, hook it up to the hose's.

I had the opposite of this problem. I set all my programs before hooking up the timer and it didn't turn on when it was supposed to. All I did was hit the reset button and plugged it in then set my schedule. I'd double check your schedule and make sure you got the am/pm and on/off correct before doing what I did. Also the power button on the timer works as follows 1 click is on, 2 is auto and 3 is off.

The timer has 4 states
ON- On all the time.
On AUTO- ( says auto in display only but is new mode after on ) where it is ON all the time and will auto turn off.
Off- Off all the time
Off Auto ( says auto in the display but is the next mode after off) where it is off all the time and will auto come ON.
So you will wnat the OFF AUTO setting
