Mist king during power failure

Hi guys. Just wondering because my power in my building has been shutting off a lot lately. Ill be getting my mist king soon. Does the mist king reset itself if power is lost? Would it glitch and spray constantly? All feedback appreciated.

It all depends on the electronic timer- if yours has a battery back up it will continue as usual once the power goes back on. If it does not, then the time would have to be reset once the power came back on. Either way, the unit has an off, on, auto off and on settings. I keep mine on"auto off" that way it only goes on during the prescribed times.

The timer that comes with the basic Mistking kit, does have the battery back up. So you shouldn't have to redo all your settings, it should keep the time and settings. I would make sure to keep an extra battery on hand, just in case. I looked at mine, and it looks like you take the two screws out to swap out the battery. Not sure, though, haven't had to change it yet.

Im super picky about my extension cords when it comes to items I spend a lot of time and money on so I run my computer, and my chameleon cage, and my laptop all through a UPS its a decent sized product that will become very annoying sounding when the power goes off but is easily fixed. Ive had power off all day before and nothing of mine was damaged. I was even able to charge my cell phone and keep everything running without having any problems. If your really worried, I would suggest dropping some money on it, because also if there are power surges it wont fry your electronics. Good luck =)

Thanks for the help guys. Ill check for a backup battery when i get it. Ill also look at thr auto off. My light timers are currently set to "auto on". I never knew the difference. And i know about the UPS box since i also have a reef tank, but doubt ill need that since its only low watts going to be used for lights and mist king. Thanks though
