IMHO- You might not be a Vet but you guys are Chameleon Whisperers. I have gained a ton of knowledge and received life saving advice here. You guys are my go to for help/advice/education. I go to my Vet for hands on exams/ fecal testing/medication.

Agree !!! I love this forum and all the chameleon whisperers. I am so grateful I found this place. The advice is A++, and the pics that come along with it are icing on the cake- seeing everyone’s babies is awesome and when it’s a concern picture or something is wrong we get to see it with our eyes and learn from it.

Vet visit today. No issues with skin, the missing skin appears to be a old injury. Tips the scale at 218g. The Vet gave me a Cham anatomy lesson, taught me how to open his mouth without injuring his tongue. Inspected the skin, vent area, and mouth. Overall, Carmelo appears to be really healthy. Also, during he exam, I heard Carmelo make a faint sound! It sounds like a whining dog. Who knew?

The Vet also reviewed my Husbandry, asked to see a pic of the enclosure, asked me to start a dripping system.

When I was a brand new keeper without much of a clue, I grabbed my poor Grumpy to get her out of her enclosure and she made a high pitched little squeak. I still feel terrible that I caused her enough pain or distress to squeak.

I have not, my guy has only blown a quick huff at me, that means he’s annoyed with whatever I have done. It’s almost like a soft sneeze I guess. That’s the only noise I’ve heard from him.
