It depends on how deep the burn is. If it is just very superficial, there shouldn’t be any scarring. I’m f the burn goes down deeper into the tissues, there will likely be a scar. You’ll want to keep a close eye on it and if you see that it is open or raw looking that you take him to a vet for treatment. Burns can become infected very easily.

From what I see it doesn’t look very deep at all, no bleeding or raw skin, Luckily i saw him doing it and got him down, couple hours later I saw the burns and knew I had to get the lights raise asap, I have a 75W bulb hanging that high do you think my temps will still be correct?

Hello I am so sorry this has happened. since you have raised the light, you will have to raise the basking branch. I keep a temp guage wiredat the basking spot to make sure temps are right. First, do not touch that burn without gloved hands. Bacteria on your hands can cause infection. Burns usually start by looking like a scrap nit a burn the fact that yours is discolored and not scrapped is a good sign that it may not be deep. all burns take a long time to heal and it may be multiple molts before it looks right again. If after a molt, it goes white with no color, dont worry it may repair itself over time. Black means dead skin and once that comes off you will tell if its deep or not. Still Silver Cream 1% for humans is recommended for burns on chams. Apply twice a day. Usually requires prescription. Please keep us posted and track progress with posting pics. The more threads we have on here about different types of burns the better.

Looks great. I know you r relieved. i doubt there will be any permanent scar. It may take a few molts but will disappear.
