Hello everyone. I just heard of an awesome animal called the Mimic Octopus. Does anyone have any information on this creature? I here they are highly intellectual, as they know how to mimic many dangerous animals. They can also mimic the ground and change color. I was wondering if they are like chameleons and change color due to hormones, temper, heat, humidity.... or if they change can change their colors whenever they choose to. they can choose what color they want to change to. i am not sure, but i'd assume that there is a limit to the variations in the pigments of their skin. and i agree, they are one of the most interesting creatures on planet earth..... behind the chameleon of course
they are definitely awesome creatures. Cuttlefish are my favorite marine species. If you have the chance to watch the episode Kings of Camaflauge on PBS please do , Its amazing
