I have herd some talk on here about automatic misters? i personaly have a manual mister but i was thinking of getting a automatic one but the cheapest one i saw was $100. i wanted to get someone else's opinion about it. how many people have an automatic mister and how many people have a manual mister????? just wondering to see if its necessery.

which one did you see for $100?

Edit: BTW I use an auto type mister that I made myself that uses a pump and valves to select different cages. I also made a DIY thread about a automister I made at Home Depot.

I am thinking about using the DIY mister I made. My Melleri, Pat, is in a new cage but, doesn't have a good drainage system to be hooked up to my main mister. so just to get him a little bit of water during the day he'll be hooked up to the DIY mister.

I just use a manual one, but I only have one chameleon. It works fine for me. I think you would only really need an automatic one if you have multiple chams or if you are away from home alot and can't mist them frequently.

I have my own business and work from home so even though I have both I get great satisfaction from just doing manual misting. Its a good time out. I have an automatic mister though which I use mainly for when I am away for any longer than half a day which is mainly on the weekends or for when I am travelling.
I also use a dripper but mine seem to prefer the mistings and it was just a good peace of mind to have an automatic mister for any length of time away.

^^+1 gives you peace of mind... I prefer to hand mist but 10 hour workdays Im not always home to do it.

thank goodness for automatic mister.
Or else, I probably would be stuck worrying about my cham's humidity and hydration all the time i am outside.
