Male panther catching cricket from hand

I couldn't seem to get the camera (Nikon J1) to capture his tongue out at the longest point that he wanted to go, it was either me holding the cricket or him having it halfway back :(

I am not sure how to set it so that it takes a pic every .3 seconds instead of .8 or whatever it is. A little motion blur, I'm still learning the techniques of setting this camera up, it was shot at 1/500 ISO Hi1 Any tips for me?

Nice shot, both of you. I used to do that until chameleon got my finger by accident. Not so much anymore.

It was hard holding the camera + cricket at the same time.

He hasn't taken crickets from my hand in a long time, horn worms he goes nuts until he knows the tank door is open.

He got me once but got it the second time, not that big of a deal, feels damn wierd though cause when he got me his stuck stuck to me and he was moving it around and stuff but I waited until he realized his mistake
