Hope you guys like lol

I would guess male but can you get some more pics of it at that view but the whole chameleon? This will help me be 100% sure.

That's a hard one. If I had to guess I'd say female but in the one picture it does look like a bulge. Hopefully our resident expert Cain will see this and chime in. ;)

My guess is male.

That is still my guess. Kinda has female coloration but that doesnt really mean much.

Maybe try and snap a few pics when its in its enclosure and just doing its thing that way we can see non excited pics. No hurry though.

Maybe this will help you out.

“Sexing Techniques
Although sexing mature adult panther chameleons is easy based on size, body proportions, and color, sexing immature ones can be tricky. Immature males, especially hatch-lings, usually (but not always) have a slightly thicker tail base than do females. Hatchling males have a vestigial pair of hemipenal pockets that almost invariably give the underside of the tail base a more gently tapered profile toward the cloacal aperture. Females sometimes have more orange or pink on the body and more red or orange on the interstitial skin of the gular region, but this is not absolute and can vary geographically. Using these criteria, especially ventral tail-base taper, one can with a little practice sex hatchlings with greater than 90 percent accuracy.”

Hey,
I'm no expert but I will take a guess. Your chameleon looks like a male to me. I would wait a little more until he grows up and then take another picture. Maybe somebody right now could help you and give you an answer. Like I said, I'm no expert but my guess is a male. Your chameleon is a beauty though.

Ps what you mean by pictures exited?

Excited;) It may be excited when being handled and show different coloration when in its cage. Females will be brown to pinkish coloration while males will be gray with black barring most of the time. Its not always the case but it helps me when determining sex.

You can see the coloration on both. Females will actually be more colorful around that size. You can see the tail bases in the photos too.

This one has me stumped a little. You can see it has female type coloration but it does have what appears to be a slight bump at the base of the tail but as you see in the pic of the male I posted the base comes straight out from the vent and not above the vent like the female I posted and your animal.

It really is easier to tell in person just because you can see their different colors with their different moods and examine the base of the tails at many different angles.

I think I want to go with female. Like I said, snag some pics of it in its enclosure just doing its thing. This may help a bit more.

I'm going with female. but this is probably the toughest age to determine, you should know for sure within 4-8 weeks.
