Male/Female help

We've been unsure of whether Max is a male or female. I cleaned her cage today and moved some things around to improve her ability to get around the cage, so she's super mad at me right now and retreated to the top of the cage. So I took the opportunity to get this shot real quick. She doesn't normally do that. I was hoping this picture would make it clear for someone to tell. I personally am just not sure.

Yeah no I take it back. That is just the angle of that photo. The best way to see a spur is from the side. Like in your last pic. That is a little girl. You can tell because there is an absolutely smooth flat back to the back of her back foot.

This is what a spur would look like on a young one. This boy was four months old... When they are young like this you can determine gender by the spur. But it is always best to look at the back foot from the side to do this.

Females can be wonderful. If you have not had a husbandry review this would be a good idea. There are things you can do with a little girl to reduce risk with eggs.

Males can have issues as well. They are just different lol.
