male baby vieled chameleon

I just got a 2 month old male vieled. I've had different reptiles as pets before, but this ones a little trickier. I of course did TONS of research..but one topic that's kind of different everywhere I look is about handling...He's still a baby and is very friendly, I've held him only a few times and he walks right onto my hand without any sign of stress..I've read a few different places that the more you don't hold them, the better it is...for chameleons captures from the wild..but mine was bred in a human environment, so if I hold him every once in a while, will he be prone to not be too aggresive when he gets older? I know they're all different and theres no guarentees of him being the way I'd like but hopefully he maintains his friendly attitude.. I've heard alot of instances where they become annoyed and aggresive as they age..I just want him to be happy! Thanks:)

Whoa lol that is small text! It really just depends on the cham if he wants to be aggressive or docile. I never hold my chams unless I'm cleaning their cage or just want to check their grip and I only have one mean cham, a veiled lol. So they can still be nice docile chams even if you never have held them.

i think that if he wants to come and socialize with you that it shoudnt be a problem handling him occasionally but if he gets to the point where he hisses or blows up that would be the time to start handling only when necessary. I get my Carmie out occasionally and she doesnt seem to mind at all.

I think the handling would be fine especially at that early of an age. Alot of people would debate about this but it is up to the cham and the person. I hold my veiled at least 4 times a week and she is fine with it (especially when i let her free range):D . Just watch out for the poopies:p chams don't care where they go and the bigger they are the bigger they go:rolleyes:
