Male 7 month old veiled

this is my chameleons calm colors. when do they start developing their bars? he gets these random black lines on him sometimes. its compleyely random too. should i be worried?

I have a 6 month old veiled and he has been showing his bands now for about 3 weeks.there not there all the time.can you see them on yours when he sleeps or going to get food.that's when my guts ones seem more pronounced

yeah but they arnt clearly defined. like i said they look like somebody scribbled on him with a black
crayon

It can take a while for the colors to develop.
Are you sure you got a male?
Can you take a pic of the backof the bck feet please?

He looks much smaller than 7 months, are you certain of his age? I would peg him at closer to 4 months than 7, at least from his colors and shape.

ugh sorry guys my keyboard is messed up. hes only 4 months old. and yes he is a male. at what time do they develop their barring usually?

sometime around 6 months you may see the bars some, but they will develop eventually.

You should notice the colors soon! My boy did the same occasional black bars, and then one day he had these yellow ones with blue spots! These became more permanent after a few weeks.

yay! i thnk he has a shed coming soon. doing that tell tale dance and scratch of his to loosedn his skin. cant wait?

I hate to question you, but are you SURE that is a male? My guy is now almost 6 months old, but had started showing "male" colors by 4 months. Does he have the little spurs on the back of his back feet?

Beautiful cham and very healthy looking, but I'm wondering if it could be a female?

thanks hes my first chameleon and i want to do whats best for him. almost all my christmas money spent on live plants lighting and decor. not a cheap hobby but well worth it. hes got great personality

Well then definitely male. Based on when my guy colored up, yours should be popping his any time now. Good luck with him. Looks like you're doing a great job so far!
