Mad at my sweatshirt color?

I think I just realized that Mr. Chameleonaire doesn’t approve of my red sweatshirt lol. It’s the only red thing I wear and anytime he saw me in it he would get down really flat and lay sideways on a branch to hide from me. Have any of you guys ever noticed something similar with your chams? I have thought of it before tho, they change colors to communicate so I wonder what they think of us wearing different colors all the time? Nice tail curl pic included for your enjoyment.

Most chams will react to colors. What colors they react to can vary from cham to cham.

I have a favorite color, and I tend to go into the room my cham stays in with that same color for consistency. The only time he has ever reacted to a color was when I painted my nails the same color as my shirt. Surprisingly, not angry, but instead tried to eat my fingers. I think the really light purple with the greenery reflecting off of it must've appeared closely to a hornworm's coloration to him.

It's really interesting what colors communicate to these guys!

Not only do they react to colours, they also react to patterns in material of your clothes.
