I have a baby veiled cham and this is my first cham and so far so good. I think i have the just of it and i was wondering if i should go back to the pet store and buy the male baby veiled they had there when i bought my female. I kinda wanna see them grow together, was wondering if it is a bad idea or am i getting addicted to these little guys and just want more.:D

Just remember that they have to be kept in separate cages their whole life. They should only be together for mating time and then separate again.

yeah very few us can stop at just 1. But if you do decide to get a male. You will prob want to get an unrelated bloodline. That way if you ever decide to let them produce a clutch your breeders arent inbreeding.

same here i got one in novmeber and now i have 4 and ones arriving on tuesday(can't wait :D).
LoL i Cant really wait for another but i just might have to order one cause i think the male they have left at the pet store is from the same blood line. :p

He prob is? If you ask the pet store employee they prob will either say they dont know? Or lie and say they are unrelated so they can get an animal out the door, & $$$ in cash register. So order online you will then know that they arent siblings doing the deed. Good luck, there are many site sponsors that have veileds for sale. And you will get a beter quaility bloodline.

And the addiction begins.....LOL....Another one bites the dust. Chameleons are like potato chips, nobody can have just one...:D

Check FL chams they are reasonable on pricing and ive heard only good things about the owner Jim. There are many people on here breeding veileds. Look at some bloodlines bro, you might decide you want to go with a turquiose male or a high yellow, or translucent. Personally i love the turquiose colored veileds if i got another thats what id look for. Jmo. Have fun its always exciting to look for a new addition. Oh yeah and ditch the compact flourescent asap. Dont take a chance. Use it for something else.

I will go today and get the reptisun florescent lamp. I was also wondering if some real sunlight would be ok for a little bit like maybe once a day?

You need to get that mulch bedding out of there ASAP. That is some thick stuff and could easily cause an impaction.

Yes Sunlight is great for them. I would leave the compact bulb off until you get a new one.

Hey can we start at the beginning? Tell us all about your set up & cham. There is a sticky in the health forum to fill out. Them we can all offer any thoughts we might have.

Now on the second chameleon. Get it from one of our sponsors or one of the members. Look in the classified on this forum. You will not only get a healthier chameleon, you will get a resource if you have a problem.
