Title basically says it all.

The main locales I am looking for are Ambanja (northern prefer Ambato if possible), Tamatave, and maybe Ankaramy. I am ready to have a shipment brought in I just need the importer. PM me with details / what the minimum shipment order is and we will work something out. :)

I am well aware of the difficulty in receiving wild caught chameleons and I feel that I can make sure they acclimate in a proper environment so that they can survive and produce happily.

Not necessarily a nicer look, but you will be positive they are what they say they are. I personally feel there are too many people breeding things out there that someone said it was this locale because that is what this guy said and I bred it with that locale blah blah...you never know unless you work with WCs. But many people don't know how hard WC can be to work with.

My 2 cents... PM sent

Annnnnd how exactly do you know that the collector, exporter, importer, retailer didn't mix up wild females?

Most shipments come in with only males with one look...The man has only one look, for Christ´s sake! Blue Steel, Ferrari, Le Tigre?...lol sorry...No but honestly most of the time good shipments only have males looking one way...ie kent I don't buy or work with those west coast people that have no clue what locale they are. :)

Dude, all I can say is I wish I had your confidence. Unfortunately 16 years of keeping and breeding panthers has taught me otherwise.

Question ! So chameleons are not like parrots where collection destroys there habitat and reduces there numbers and very few make it here alive. Are there so many in the wild that people can collect them without issues.

LOL...Kent haven't you been purchasing a fair share of WCs recently? :D Until this year honestly most of the shipments I have seen have been around groups of 20+ of males looking identical, to suspect that the females are from a different locale is unlikely. Don't get me wrong...there are a lot of importers who could care less and will tell you what you want to hear, thats why it is harder to believe those smaller shipments are always correct.

Oh, I'm not saying every female is going to be mislabeled; just that there's a risk. You said that the only way to know for sure is to work with WC. I think you're setting yourself and potential customers up for disappointment if you think that's going to be 100% true. Yes, I have purchased some WC this year and of the three Ambanja-type females I picked up this year, it wouldn't surprise me at all if one of them had babies that didn't look like that type. I certainly hope not, but it happens.
