Looking for chameleon egg

Hi I am new here but I was wondering if anyone knows where I could purchase a chameleon egg? My daughter is turning ten and she has always wanted a chameleon and since we are on lock down and cant do anything for her birthday I told her we could finally get a chameleon. I didn't want to purchase from a pet store because I would like to know where it comes from and not wild caught. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance

Why not get a 3 month old from someone on here? A egg would be a lot for someone to start with.

I was worried about shipping them. If someone lives in Florida and has a young one for sale I would be willing to travel for one.

I think it’s a good idea to make sure you have everything right so you don’t have to change everything when you get it. What does your enclosure, lighting, supplementing, and gut loading look like?

Depending on species, most pet stores sell captive bred. Big box pet stores have captive bred from what I consider reptile breeding mills. Hatching an egg and starting from a newborn chameleon is a challenging task. Your best bet is to check out the site’s sponsors and have a healthy juvenile shipped to you.
Sorry, but I have to ask if you’ve kept chams before. If not I would suggest reading thru all the info on the forum about husbandry and checking out chameleonacademy.com. Proper husbandry is key to many years of enjoyment of a healthy happy chameleon.
