well, so ive been trying to handle linus as least as possible while still trying to get him used to me and my hands, and just a few minutes ago he was on his screen door when i opened it and started to crawl towards the top and i didnt want him crawling out knowing i probably cant get him back in until he gets used to handling, and he accidentally crawled on my hand, and froze like "oh snap, what did i do?" haha, so i let him like that and snapped these pics, then when i put him back, he almost jumped off my hand to get back in his cage XD i rewarded him with some yummy crix and superworms :) i would have tried to handfeed him on my hand, but i didnt wanna move around too much and stress him out :p

Nor can I! He's taking his time, since Jacksons grow a lot slower than Veileds and Panthers! He is still under 7g and sits on my finger! :D I'm in no hurry, I love him being a 'Dinky Dinosaur'!

He is just such a fine cham. Maybe he is starting to like you.:)

i hope so! he's still not fond of me, i can tell when he tries to hide in his plant real fast when i open the cage to mist or something, but he's getting better :)

My girl Gracie finally decided I am the lady with water and food. When she sees me coming with the cricket cup and water, she hurries (LOL) to the branch to the front of her cage and sits there. I always spray her first. She likes a leisurely shower, washing her eyes out very well, turning her head to make sure she is nice and clean and refreshed, then drinks her fill. When she is done she takes a couple of steps back like she is saying ok, where is the food??? I know her signs, so I bring out the crickets. She looks into the cup and usually eats a couple out of the cup and then wants me to let her hunt the rest. She will eat a worm out of my fingers only if it is doing the twirly worm thing when I am squeezing it by its rear end. She isn't fast enough to eat it out of my hand. She has to look at for a long time deciding if she wants to eat it or not. Jacksons are so darn slow compared to veileds.

Aren't they just! Gracie sounds wonderful! Do you have pics of her? Monty knows what mealies and silkworms are though and he is quite quick when he's hungry! His Mum is rather slow and VERY picky with her food though!

Beautiful jackson you got there! Stunning green! So gorgeous! Haha and yeah! My veiled will do the same thing! Whenever he sees me shake his little cup(dusting the crickets), he will rush down to the branch like he was running for his life! He will just sit on the branch and wait patiently for me to open the cage so I can hand feed him. He makes me laugh so hard with this behavior! Another funny story is is that when it was feeding time, I opened his cage then moved 1 ft away to grab and dust the crickets. In the blink of an eye, I turned around and he had climbed out of his cage, through the lamp wires, and into the big plant. When I turned around he was just reaching for the leaf and I was cracking up! He was like "aww damn it I better hurry up he spotted me!" :p I love Spyro to death. It's amazing how much joy a little creature can bring into your life! :D
