Look at this fat little leg...

Geez my bad! I don't know too much about these. My apologies!!!!

Yes Masters, I am still in the process of learning!! My apologies :p
But Lisa, he is gorgeous!! I can't wait to set up a free range area for Reptar. I just want to gain his trust first and let him grow a little more.

No worries Seb.... We're just having good, clean fun with ya!!!! We love having new, anxious meat!!!! ;) jk and thanks,, lisa

Im sorry but I cant sit and read all these posts of people thinking its cute to have an overweight chameleon. There are so many on this forum that are overweight and it irritates me to read all the posts saying they look great and are cute little fatties. When a newbie comes on here trying to get an idea of what a healthy chameleon looks like is really going to get the wrong idea with posts and threads like these.

Sorry if I offend anyone but a big reason I participate on the forum is to help others successfully raise healthy chameleons.

No offense taken... I agree he is a bit fluffy,,, and Ive been cutting back on his feeders in the last few weeks.
I wasn't trying to say it was acceptable,, he was just sitting on my leg and I snapped the shot...

As I said. When we got him he hardly ate, so when he started, we just went with it, fed him what he would eat... Maybe not the best thing to do but that's what we did.... We're working on it... :)

You are right and true. this has been acknowledged by op and cutting down food is the plan. Overfeeding is a big problem and i agree it should be mentioned to help any new people looking.

Thanks.... Agreed......as I said,,, we're working on his weight issue.... I probably shouldn't of posted the pics..... I don't want anyone getting the wrong idea... being overweight is not good for man or beast!!!!

Lisa, try only giving him crickets and dubia for awhile. Worms always put weight on my guys. I've had to cut back on all my boys that are old and not active anymore.

Dangle a worm on the opposite end of the treadmill ;) oh wait... he could just show you how long his tongue is and snatch it...lol. I'm glad he finally decided to eat for you:)
