Hello everyone!

My name is Jeff and I am new to Chameleon Forums. Thought I would hop in and say hello! I am going to be getting my first Panther Cham. after a LONG time away from the baby dino world. I grew up with chams as my Dad was keeping/breeding them when I was a youn'un (back in the mid 70's). Everything then was pretty much wild caught.

So anyways, been studying up on husbandry (boy has it come a long way!) along with the various types. My 11 year old daughter is on here with me studying like a mad-woman (Emilee) getting books from the library, etc.

Great site! Look forward to getting to know everyone better...any Minnesotans out there?!?

Jeffrey

welcome to the site. were are you going to be getting your panther from??? if u have any questions just ask!!!!

I have been in talks with the people from "Screameleons" and they have been very helpful over the phone, answering all my questions even though I have not purchased anything yet.

Any suggestions?

Hi Jeff (is Jeff ok or do you prefer Jeffrey?)

Welcome to the forum!

Screameleons have gorgeous chameleons as do all the sponsors here. What local are you interested in?

Hello welcome to the group. Glad you finally joined us. We are a mostly friendly, knowledgeable group, and always ready to help. You are dealing with an excellent breeder. They are more helpful that a lot of others and they are very, very knowledgeable. You can't get a bad cham from them.:):)

I am just a pm away if you need me.

Lol...nope, Jeff is just fine. I am just used to signing off everything as "Jeffrey". :D

I love Screameleons. Not to discount any other breeder/seller, it's just that I have had the most contact with them, and they have been SO helpful. And like I said, I have not even purchased anything yet. I know I am, but they have no way of knowing that...but still put the time into Emilee and I.

I am really looking at the Sambava, but to be honest, it really does not matter, I could really do anything as long as it is a pleasant species. I am looking for the time with my daughter and my own enjoyment. With that said, I LOVE the Sambava, Nosy Be, Oorana Mena or any of the beautiful crosses. Pssh...it doesn't matter.

Emilee (my daughter) has really developed a HUGE passion for these little guys. I told her my story of when I came downstairs when I was about her age (11 or 12) and found a habitat full of little white baby dwarfs. Then my dad and I got talking about it, she started studying, saving (she has over 120.00 saved), and begging...now we are heading down this baby dino path. I have wanted to get back involved for many, many years...but life finally slowed down enough, the money is now avaliable, own a home, etc. Just could not justify spending what it costs before. And I am now 42 ;)...sorry to ramble.

Anyways, it has been a long time coming and the added bonus is my daugher has an interest. So it's a double win for me :D

Welcome Jeff and look foward to seeing some pics when you get your new arrival! We are all here to help!!
