You cant get them in the US as they could possibly be invasive I belive. The closest in the US would be grasshoppers.

I have wondered this too... what would be easier to keep for 3 chams ? I have dubias and crickets by the hundreds already... grasshoppers or mantis?

I swore that I wouldn't attempt mantis again, but I broke down the other day and picked up another ooth at a local nursery. They are a pain in the arse, but Imma succeed this time!!

Separate as many as you can and prepare to feed, feed, feed! I did this and still lost 90% of them...

What about stick inscects ? They are pretty hard to kill.

I currently have 8 sticks that I'm trying to raise up. We'll see if your theory holds up!

I had them separated in tall deli cups. About 20 per cup...

dang isnt that a littke too small?what are you going to keep them in this time...i also want to go buy some more to a local nursery...but i wanna keep them alive...

I had them in 32oz deli cups. I believed those to be large enough for baby mantis. They were approx 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Very small.
