My Husband got him at a reptile show. He was docketed as an Ambilobe. I've been researching everywhere, but I'm having difficulty finding any other Ambilobe juveniles with his coloration... I'm aware that every chameleon is different, but I literally can't find any photos at least a bit similar to his morph...He looks very nice, but unless you have sire information from a breeder no one can tell you what locale you have.
It might look like a certain locale, but you can't be for certain.
You can try contacting who you got him from, but if it's from a petshop I honestly would not trust what they say. Most don't really know male from female let alone locale.
I would suggest always buying from a breeder.
Apparently his Sire was a WC Ambilobe but I have no info on the Dam. I'm all about interracial hybrids, but my friend really wants a pure clutch. This little guy is soo gorgeous, but if I don't know for sure, sadly, she doesn't want my stud-muffinI agree with the above, there is no way to tell and crosses are becoming more popular these days so who knows what you have unless you get verification from who produced it.
