Depending on how they shipped it (which you should be able to determine from your receipt) they may or may not be able to provide tracking information. I'm sure that, just as a precaution, they include long shipping times in their estimates.
As noted, the holiday schedule messes everything up. We tried to go to the library today and it was closed...**sigh**
At this point, what you need to do is start with the day you ordered and go forward through the calendar marking off every "shipping day". Until you get to 7, you can't really expect LLL to look into it.
Knowing them, I do think they would be open to a call to check before day 7. That would at least give you a chance to make sure that all the shipping information is correct. A minor typo can be devastating to shipping. So, if you don't see your cage by Monday, give them a call and confirm that all is well.
This is really a nice company to deal with for the most part so I feel confident that you will find them very helpful.
Eman, I have to say I sort of hate the "post count" related comments. Not that I think your basic idea was off base, but to attribute it to some need to get a high post count is wrong, in my mind. Some of us come from online groups that actually encourage participation, even reward it. So, "post count" is not, to us, a bad thing. I have had my post count thrown in my face as though it was proof that I'm an idiot here...needless to say, I don't enjoy that.
pssh, you know I love you...but as Pretty says, if you go back now and read it, you'll see it does come off as a bit condescending. Also, just to be a MOM: most shipments aren't by mail carriers! Okay..maybe that's my long experience working with shipping.... anyway, it was sort of obvious that the shipping service knew when it would be delivered so providing that was unnecessary and, as we've seen, kind of a problem.
Of late, on this board, I tend to type out my replies then take a break. After the break I read it again. If it still seems good, I post it...otherwise, I don't. I find I have far fewer people posting negative feedback and comments like "please stop" in my profile. I offer that up as an idea, nothing more.
