Live plants, vines and such

Good afternoon!

Well I'm trying to get a list going on what all we need for this cage I'm making. Right now I'm a little stuck due to trying to find live plants because my lowes, HD, and walmart dont carry a large section of healthy, safe plants. Can anyone recommend a good website to buy some live plants from?
Also there's pretty much no trees where I live to pick up some branches I was just wondering if something like http://www.lowes.com/pd_315211-2760...2_4294937087_?Ns=p_product_price|0&facetInfo=

or http://www.lowes.com/pd_67854-1321-...2_4294937087_?Ns=p_product_price|0&facetInfo=

would work?

TIA :)

IMO the alternative examples you showed are not going to be very useful:eek:

I believe LLLreptile sells ficus trees.

There inst maybe a park or somthing with trees you could steal from?

Most of the trees that are here havent dropped any branches I have a dead tree thats pretty much a stump in my back yard I trimmed back about 4 weeks ago. Wish I saved the branches. My husband has the truck everyday so I cant get off post to take my son anywhere to look unfortanutely.

I can't help you on plants as I haven't even gotten my baby Chameleons yet. lol.
But I get my bird perches from Manzanita Burlworks in California. They also sell branches for Reptiles. Rich is awesome! You can give him a call and he'll make sure you get the size/shape of branches you're looking for at great prices. Good luck!

I'm just gonna leave this here...

We do carry a variety of live plants, and if you would like to request something specific, you can include it in the "special requests" section at check out, and we'll do everything we can to meet that request.

You can always give us a call if you have questions, too!

WOW lll is good at being on top of any threads containing any reference to them. they must do a search daily.

and really home depot dosnt have anything? they usually at least have pothos and schefflera. the ficus they have usually have those braided trunks and are on the expensive side.

there are certain times of year when they get shipments of tropicals in. smaller non braided ficus, and schefflera. they should be going for about $10 for the 8" pots

if you dont have time to wait or look around just order from lll

I would recommend not using dead branches. Always use fresh. The reason being, is that the dead wood is more likely to have termites, or pests living in it.
I just break them off of trees, or pull up the whole tree :)

If I knew I would get in trouble for it I would.

I'm watching you.... ;)

Actually, this was just a coincidence - I was searching the forums for topics I could respond to, and when I first clicked there was only one response. I do search for topics about once a week, for those who are interested - if you want us to chime in on something just mention us in a post. Eventually we'll find it! :)

Good luck with the plant search!
