My cham is going on day 4 of new enclosure and he seems to found s spot where hes comfortable.. but hes not really going much higher then this (pic) when ive added much more branches closer to basking light.

Is he maybe just being cautious or getting over a stressful move day?

I think you answered your own question. He has found a spot where he’s comfortable in a new(scary) environment. He feels safe there and I’m sure he will start to explore mor as he settles in.

Yeah im hoping thats it.. cause its been pretty chilly in house lately..an ambient temp is around 78f and i just hope hes warm enough as u can see the basking light is like 1 foot or so up above where he is. Im just hoping if he needed to warm up more hed explore higher

My panther only sits right under the basking light first thing in the morning. The rest of the day he sits on the perimeter of the light area. Your guy may be warm enough where he is at.

Yay i caught him up higher this morning.... man hes been looking dull lately... expecting a shed soon i suppose

Mine is kinda dark but mainly when he is basking or just hanging out. He turns light when he is out of his cage or hunting.

I love his little eyeball swiveled back to look at you/the camera in the second pic. Chams always look so suspicious!

Lol yeah they always wanna see what your up to... specially when both eyes are totaly backwards it looks so rediculous. Amazing they can do that. Ooh got nice pic of his color again... still not his best display. Like i said i think a shed is on its way.
