I was thinking of getting the zoomed reptihalogen for my chams , are they too bright for basking ?

you can just use a regular house bulb they are cheaper.

It needs to give off heat, I think the energy efficient ones are pretty cool.

if you have a dimmer light fixture like i have it wont work.... to the will flicker otherwise idk
