Lighting

What lights do you all suggest for an enclosure that is 7ft tall, 5 feet wide, and 2 feet deep? Really the plants and veiled are in the top 4.5 or 5 feet.

Quad fixture... If it has a single reflector for all four bulbs then you need a 10.0 or 12% bulb. If it has individual reflectors for each bulb you need a 5.0 or 6% bulb. Your basking would need to sit 7-8 inches below the top of the cage with the fixture sitting directly on top of the cage.

A Mercury Vapor bulb would also be a great route and probably overall cheaper short term and long term. However you will need a UVI meter with such a bulb. Which would negate initial savings but long term you'd be solid.

T5 HO's are 46" long.

Tipically chams will hang out in just one level of the cage +- 1ft. So with my 7ft, he just hung out at the top 2-3ft, so as Beman said, i went with a 6% single and it provided usable UVB for the to 3ft of the cage, after that it was a dead zone with less uvb than an old t8 5.0.
