You need at least two lights - UVB and basking. Get the long tube fluorescent type of UV light - 5.0 will work fine. The UVB bulbs need to be changed about every six months. For the basking, get a dome fixture and you can use regular house bulbs - don't spend extra money on a fancy "daylight" or "reptile" bulb. 60W is a good place to start, but you may need a stronger bulb to get the basking temperature correct. Depending on what plants you have, a 6500K grow light might also be nice, but is not required. No red lights, no ceramic heaters, no night lights at all, not even those dumb "moon" lights. Chameleons need complete dark at night.
