Lighting setup, cheap heat control

Due to the tropical weather we have been having in MN we added the adjustable cube shelving thing to easily move the basking lamp away when it is too hot. I thought it was clever so I thought I'd share.

Is that your uvb running up and down the side of the enclosure? I am not sure if thats a good idea to run a light vertical on a cham.

We try to mimic the real world not because its fun, but because deviations can wreak havoc on cham health. A vertical light would be totally unnatural and not sure what the long term impact would be.

Just food for thought, maybe someone more knowledgeable will chime in, but I know I wouldn't run any light vertical on the side on my cham's.

Yeah I've read some of the discussions on the topic and it doesn't really seem like a genuine risk to me. The heat comes from the top, like the sun when it is above and the hottest. I'll call the angled UVB sunrise and sunset.
