Lighting Questions for a Newbie

So I bought an enclosure that came with lighting and a beautiful male panther chameleon.

The previous owner had one 5.0 UVB bulb and a heat lamp at 75w. I noticed in my house the top was only about 75 degrees, so I bought a 100w ceramic bulb which keeps it closer to 79 degrees.

Right now, my schedule is to leave the 5.0 bulb on for 10 hours, and the ceramic heat lamp on all day.

Is this enough? Is it ok that he is in darkness for the rest of the day with the 5.0 isn't on? Do I need a night light at all?

You don't want any lights on at night, as they will keep the chameleon awake. You also want to be sure that there is a temperature drop at night, so unless your house gets below 60ish degrees F at night (the caresheet says even as low as 50 is safe actually) you should not direct any additional heat into the cage. Save some money on electricity and let the cham get some rest. :)
