Hi All,
I am contemplating purchasing the light and fixture as linked below. I want to have some neat tropical plants ( I know to research which ones are Cham friendly) that are getting the rght amount of light for lush growth and this set up seems ideal. Would this be a good alternative to the Reptisun set ups? It would be set up over a 2x2x4 enclosure for a male Veiled.
Thanks

you can use that and a reptisun. plants need a diff. type of uv. you can use them togather and they plants will grow.

I would be worried about using a compact florescent or any other high powered "grow" type lighting for fear of eye problems. Just get a dual bulb florescent fixture for your uvb and through a plant bulb in the other side. I use a 24" repti-sun 5.0 uvb and 18" florescent plant bulb. My three plants: schafferlla, pothos, and a ficus ben. all grow like crazy.

I second summoner12. If you want plants, grow plants. If you want to house a chameleon, then do what is necessary for a safe house for your little animal. They are delicate.
