lion tiger hybrids against polar bear grizzly hybrid.

ready GO!

try to note your reasoning instead of saying "OBVIOUSLY THIS GUY HES A BEAST /winning"

Grolar bear would overpower a liger with his size and strength. The liger would have to land a decisive jugular tear if he wants to take down the grolar bear (which would be very very difficult). 9/10 fights the grolar bear would win just out of sheer stamina, heavy power strikes, and the ability to take a lot of hits from the liger. The liger would likely crumble under one or a few palm strikes or tackles from the grolar bear. Let's not forget the grolar bear has quite a powerful bite too.

AGREED! last time i had this debate everyone was pro liger.

i realize ligers have gigantsim (larger than both parent species) but as with most big cats they rely on crushing the wind pipe or covering the muzzle. essentially suffocating their prey. im not saying constant clawing and biting couldnt prove fatal but i think it would take an excessive amount of time to to accomplish such a task.

i think a bear would just brutally pummel causing broken bones and internal bleeding. one well placed blow, i think, could easily crush a ligers skull, though unlikely considering feline agility.

the only chance in my mind that a liger may have is a stealth attack and rather than attacking the throat going for the spine. there is just far too much meat on their necks to get a good suffocating clamp on a struggling bear. but if by happenstance the liger could get a clamp on the spine at the base of the skull and sever it quickly is the only chane i see for the liger.

we can even change this into a siberian tiger vs american grizzly or kodiak. and i still think the bear would win. even though tigers have been know to take out brown bears.

Grolar Bear. Liger's are just pussycats, I mean I like them more than Grolar Bears, but they are fat and unathletic, at least compared to a regular tiger or lion.

A liger maybe more agile, and faster than a bear, but being a cross with a polar bear, it will be MASSIVE. THe polar bear is the largest land carnivore on earth (alive). So it is obvious to assume that the bear would be covered in tough hide, blubber, and tons of muscle. This will help in aiding in protection of his wind pipe. It appears other than the wind pipe and back, there really is no weak spot on the bear, but as the bear will just go in with all he's got, I believe he would come out as the victor.

I recently watched Frozen Planet, and it discussed how the polar bear male will follow his female around for weeks after they have mated to protect her ( or should I say his cubs) from other males. Towards the end he was covered in blood.
