Laying Bin

Does this laying bin for my female veiled chameleon look right? About ten inches deep of 50/50 sand and dirt

it looks dry to me. is it moist enough to hold a tunnel?

To my knowledge, she is not going into the soil- what do I do????

A couple of things I did that seemed to help my girl finally use her lay bin was first of all putting alot more plants and greenery around the lay bin and even down inside of it a little. Also I made sure the sand was wet enough to tunnel and during the night i made a good sized starter tunnel and she went right to it the next day. Seclusion and privacy are important.

And I was amazed at how deeply she tunneled even though I made a fairly big starter tunnel along the back half of the bin she took the tunnel 15 inches down farther all the way to the bottom and laid there.
