Laying Bin help

What can I use in a laying bin. Potting soil and sand aren't available right now at the store because its cold out. Is there anything I can pick up at Walmart? the closest pet store is 30 minutes away

play sand.

wash it first then you can use play sand.

If you mix eco earth with sand, you will get a much lighter bin, and it is easier for her to dig in. I actually may try straight Eco Earth next time.

I used to use playsand mixed with peat moss with enough moisture to hold a tunnel. Both products are available at walmart.

Years ago I switched to dirt dug up out of the back yard and feel it is the best so I never switched to anything else. It is more natural and smells/feels right and already has the correct moisture content year round where I live. In the winter it has to warm up for several hours indoors though.
