Lay bin size?

Is this too small for a lay bin? If it is too small how much bigger does it need to be? Keep in mind my chameleon Otis has MBD and a 5 gallon bucket was a bit too big for her to get in and out of

Min 12 " by 12" deep. I've heard that the tapered bottom is not great.

I ended up going with a plastic one a size up from the one in the picture I posted, it's basically a 5 gallon bucket but about 3-4 inches shorter
