kinda worried...

hi everyone Xanthus is a male veiled cham who is about 2 months the only thing im worried about is that hes been spending about 3-4 hours each day near the bottom of his cage ive heard this can be a bad thing so i wanted to make this thread

P.S he is always a dark green with brown spot when he is on the screen or on the floor....is this normal?

What's the temps in your cage? What's the basking area? He might be hot.

i think right under the basking light is around 87F but i thought the same thing since SoCal is about 100F during the day so i have a window open and an AC vent is on sometimes

A two month old baby should be 80 tops.

ooops well then should i not have the light on at all because its so hot where i live?

He needs the UVB light only.

when my cham was a baby I had the ac on in mid 70s and had a 40 watt bulb it was like 80-81 in the basking temp. 87 is a bit toasty
